A daily voice practice.

Open Speakate, do a two-to-three-minute session of spoken drills — weighted toward resonance and depth — and close it. That’s the whole app. The next session is always chosen for you, so there is nothing to decide and nothing to configure.

In development. Not yet on the App Store or Google Play.

How a session works

Two or three drills, about a minute each.

Every drill is sized to run roughly sixty seconds. How it gets there depends on what the drill actually is.

A duration

The screen runs the clock.

Holds, hums, glides, thirty seconds of speech. The drill carries a timing block and the session screen runs a guided countdown — work, rest, next set — so you can prop the phone up and keep your hands free.

A script

Self-paced, on purpose.

Sentences, passages, tongue twisters. No countdown, because a clock running under a sentence makes you rush the exact thing the drill is trying to slow down. Length comes from how much you’re given to read.

Neither

It happens out in your day.

“In your next real conversation, apply the technique to the first three sentences.” The screen shows the instructions and nothing else — no timer, and no card explaining that there’s nothing here, which would still be something to read.

Plans

Three of them. Switching costs nothing.

You pick one on the last screen of onboarding — last, not first, because by then you know what a session is. Every plan’s position derives from the same completion log, so an abandoned plan sits exactly where you left it.

The Full Course

All 9 modules, every drill, in order.

9 modules → 20 levels

  • Warm Up
  • Breath & Support
  • Resonance & Depth
  • Volume & Projection
  • Pace & Pausing
  • Pitch & Intonation
  • Articulation
  • Confidence & Authority
  • Real Conversations

Nothing is locked. Every module and every level is open from a fresh account — the order is the sequence the material builds in, not a gate. Warm Up is first because you never work a voice cold. Resonance is third, as early as its prerequisites allow, because it’s the headline goal. Real Conversations is last, because transfer is what you earn.

Voice nudges

Reminders, never observations.

Practice only counts if it reaches the sentences you say the rest of the day. So, optionally, a few short micro-tips spread across your waking window — four a day between 8am and 10pm to start with, and you set both numbers.

Forty-six tips, and every one fires before any repeats. Nothing about the schedule is stored: which tip lands in which slot is a pure function of the calendar day, the same way your streak and your level are calculated rather than kept.

They are off until you turn them on. Notifications are the only operating-system permission Speakate ever asks for, and it asks at the moment you flip the switch — never at launch, never during onboarding.

The app cannot hear you. Every tip is forward-looking advice about the next thing you happen to say, and a test in the app’s own suite fails the build on any copy that pretends otherwise.

9:10Speak from your chest
Next time you talk, aim the sound low — chest, not throat.
13:40Find the buzz first
Hum for five seconds before your next call, then start from there.
18:05Land the last word
Let the end of your next sentence settle low instead of drifting up.

Three of the forty-six. Content is chosen on your device from a list built into the app — no reminder is sent from a server, and no push token is ever registered.

No microphone, no tracking

The quietest thing on your phone.

This is the product decision, not the fine print. An app that asks for nothing has nothing to leak, nothing to sell, and no reason for you to read a settings screen before you trust it.

No microphone.

Speakate has no microphone permission and makes no recordings. Drills are self-assessed; nothing about your voice is captured, transmitted, or analysed.

No analytics.

No analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, no advertising identifier, no third-party tracker, and no cross-app or cross-site tracking.

One permission, ever.

Notifications, and only when you switch nudges on. No location, no contacts, no photos, no health data.

Derived, not stored.

Your streak, level, statistics and position on the path are calculated on your device from your practice log. None of those figures are kept on a server.

Yours to delete.

Settings → Privacy → Delete account permanently erases your account, practice log, badges and settings from the servers and from the device. It takes effect immediately.
